Support Category: Course Assignment Inquiry

Specialist Notes:

IMPORTANT!

The following is information provided directly from the DOC Administrators:

We’ve received multiple emails via DOC indicating training errors, described as a mix of login issues and Skillsoft‑specific bugs. Separately, we’ve also seen reports from BEA users encountering an error when reaching the first Knowledge Check in the course.

Details we have so far:

  • Error occurred at the first Knowledge Check
  • Users were onsite and accessing the course via the DOC broadcast email → transcript → launch
  • Browser: Microsoft Edge

In reported cases, users were able to resolve the issue by closing and reopening the browser/course.

Skillsoft has asked that we share any Skillsoft‑specific trends we’re seeing, and for isolated user issues, users may be directed to Skillsoft Support’s live chat for quicker investigation and resolution.

WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW?

Should a user reach out stating they are experiencing course completion issues with the '(COURSE) Understanding AI Risks and Mitigations' training, this is to be handled the same way as '(COURSE) DOC Understanding AI: Capabilities, Risks, and Responsible'.

The DOC Administrators have stated that there were some discrepancies with the following course names, but they are, in fact, all the same course.

Name is System: DOC Understanding AI: Capabilities, Risks, and Responsible Use

Name in Document: (COURSE) Understanding AI Risks and Mitigations

Name in Broadcast Email: '(COURSE) DOC Understanding AI: Capabilities, Risks, and Responsible'

And the course for contractors is titled: 'AI at Work: Maximizing Impact, Minimizing Risk'.

For NIST and Census

For NIST and Census users, the admins have informed us that updates have been made to adjust the course availability for their contractors. Contractors in these bureaus should now be able to access the course if they have the appropriate user type (DOC User Type 2 and license. NIST (divisions beginning with CM57....) or Census (divisions beginning with CM63....)

They have also confirmed that Federal Employees should not encounter access limitations.

Should any DOC users contact us stating they are trying to access the training, but get the SSO error message below...

Please forward/escalate these ( and only these ) straight to Darin Mills [ dmills@eskillz.comand Nicole Crubaugh [ ncrubaugh@eskillz.comand set the status to CLOSED.
